Provence cooking lessons --- Leçon de cuisine

I can give cooking lessons; you will learn how to prepare Provencal family cuisine and French terms at the same time if you wish. My grand mother and my mother were ‘cordons bleus’ who told me the old ways of Provence cooking and my brother is a chef in famous restaurants who taught me professional tips but most of all I am very fond of cooking and transferring my skills.

The lesson lasts 2 to 3 hours. You can also participate to the food shopping if you wish to use it as a practical way of learning French. The cost for covering expenses is 60 euro for the first attendee and 40 euro for the second one if any with a maximum of 2 ‘students’ at a time.

Then we will share the meal we prepared and each person can have one guest as long as this guest brings wine and flowers as politeness requires it in France. During the meal I will tell you a lot about Provence history, traditions… and answer all your questions. Generally at the end of the meal, I entertain my guests by singing traditional French & Provence songs as well as Russian songs as I speak fluently this language ;-).

If you rent one of my large accommodations (http://www.rivieraapt-accommodations.blogspot.com/), I can also give you a lesson at this place with no limit on the number of attendees. The price will depend on the number of ‘students’ and the number of guests for the shared meal. This will be fun and much less expensive than the restaurant. You will be in charge of the service and cleaning though.

Tomatoes, olive oil, garlic and fragrant herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage, basil…) are the 4 staples of Provence cuisine. Traditional courses include ratatouille, rabbit or chicken à la Provençale, aïoli, bagna cauda, pistou soup, daube, pissaladiere, bouillabaisse, … For more information about Provence cuisine go to http://www.rivieraapt-cuisine-costume.blogspot.com/

You can also attend a class by a chef at Moulin de Mougins or Escoffier museum in Villeneuve Loubet at 80 euro per person for 2 hours course with 10 students and no meal.
